• Fantastic advice

  I rang Phil for advice about damp in my bathroom. Within 5 minutes he was at my house and gave me stacks of advice about condensation and improving ventilation! I would recommend him to anyone - if only everyone was as good as him!

  I called Phil with a suspected dry rot problem. After having already received one quote from another company for £150, I wanted a second opinion. Phil came the same day (about 15 minutes after our phone conversation!) to look at the problem. He was extremely honest, offered free advice and as a result saved me a lot of money, as no work was necessary. While he was there he also looked at a few other concerns I had with my house and answered questions I put to him. I would not hesitate in recommending Phil to anyone who needed work doing, and if ever I need his services in the future, I will definitely contact him.

• Fantastic service

  When we thought we were having a problem with damp, we called Phil and he came over the same day to inspect our property. After checking for all of the possible causes, we were told that there was no dampness in our walls. Phil gave us free expert advice and we have since identified the cause and have had no further problems. • Great job on wall ties

  Did a great job on wall ties and repairing pointing for us: everything explained in simple terms, actively pointed out to us what we didn't need doing (where an unscrupulous trader could've added more to his job and upped the charge!) work carried out promptly and tidyily at a competitive price. Delighted, and would definitely employ Phil again!

• Really Great Service

  Prior to calling for a quote I did a quick internet search and called Owen Preservation on the basis of another review that said Phil is very honest and professional. Even in these hard times when it would be easy to charge me for a £200-300 damp proof job, I was given very accurate, straightforward and honest advice that largely revolved around 'self initiated' actions that could be achieved on my part. Hugely impressed to meet such an honest bloke who really knew his stuff and could communicate the problem in very plain english. Very happy to recommend as someone you can trust not to try and rip you off.
