  • 4 Not too bad, could be better

I have never been to an arabic restaurant before and really didn't know what the food would be like, or even if i would find anything i wanted to eat. As usual, my friends forced me along with them and i had fabulous time in the restaurant. The service was great and the food was delicious. I'd agree that the decor is not good at all, and is initially off putting, enough to possibly stop you from going, although that would be a mistake. On the way out i saw they did takeaways, so a week later i ordered one. It was a complete contrast to the food in the restaurant, you wouldn't think it came from the same place!

  • 4 good food... shame about the restaurant

I visited Basha after a friend recommended it. It’s one of the few Middle Eastern places to eat. The restaurant’s décor and general state leaves much to be desired in my opinion. It has definitely seen better times. The food on the other hand was yummy. We had no complaints except that the rice wasn’t as good as the rice in Middle Eastern countries. One thing to watch out for: they also deliver to your home, something I would not recommend. Although in the restaurant the food was very good, the food we got delivered wasn’t. It arrived late, coldish and the quality left much to be desired.

  • 4 Never tried arabic and I loved it!

The food made a really nice change to the typically spicy indian food, you'll get to taste real kebabs not like the ones you get in dirty shops after going out late at night. The food is so nice and I really recommend it to people who have never tried it. I even tried another similar restaurant in Oxford however it fell short from how good Basha is. The waiters are friendly and are really proud of their origins and if you have ever visited will gladly have conversations with you. Ask ali to do you a dance from his region and he do a traditional arabic male on male dancing, rather amusing for a westerner!!

  • 5 Without a doubt the best middle eastern restaurant

I have been going to this place as long as 4 years ago, when it just opened. Farouj Mashwi (grilled chicken) is, in my opinion their signature dish. Other dishes are also superbly delicious.Try it, I am sure you'll love this place.

  • 5 Simply great

I had my doubts vefore going to this arabic restaurant, but the minute I entered the door, I loved the place. It feels homely and quite welcoming. The food is simply the best Arabic food I had in UK, it is quite tasty and for a good price as well. I highly recommend it to everyone, singles or families...:)
