• Fantastic Service - highly recommend

  I called on Monday for a quote to clear a house in Middlesbrough. They gave me a very good quote and started the clearance the next day after collecting the keys from me in Hartlepool. The house had been empty for some time and pigeons had got in. The company were very professional and dealt with the environmental officer and on request quickly gave me another quote to bring up to standard and hire in all the right equipment. The following day they completed the job in half a day and brought me everything I'd asked for + lots of personal items I'd forgottten about so that I could check whether or not I wanted them. These are a really good bunch of guys who have done a great job - not just in clearing the house but also in giving good advice and helping get the property on the market. I tend to be a cynic and having seen so much on tv about rogue traders etc this company really does give you faith that there are good professional people out there. I highly recommend this company - they will do an excellent job.

• Professional service, very pleased & satisified

  We contacted Abacus following the good reviews on this web site and after a friendly chat with Mr Graeme of Abacus, we arranged for a callout to give us a quote. Not only did they not charge for a callout but they proved quite cheap compared to other house clearance companies we had been in contact with (some wouldn't call out unless we paid their petrol money!). We wanted the job done quick as the property is soon to go on the market, and they did the job within the time they had specified, 3 hours for a 3 bedroom house, clearing the carpets and small outerhouse as requested. We can't thank them enough as we were considering doing it ourselves after a fruitless search using Yellow Pages. Finding Abacus on the internet has saved us a great deal of trouble and I thoroughly recommend them. 5 star Service. Many thanks Mr Graeme. Wendy & Tom

• Excellent service

  We used these guys a few weeks before Xmas to clear my mother's house who sadly died a month or so back and they were brilliant, they cleared the entire house from top to bottom and were very decsreet and professional. We came from Scotland and had to be back that same night and other companies were called up were saying it could take 2 days to clear bu these guys did it in a few hours, bringing 4 men and a huge van. We also got a Xmas card off them which was a really nice tough we thought. Impressive service and top people. Many thanks guys.

  I've used these guys before when my dear auntie passed away. I'm from London and had to travel to Newcastle and they cleared the full house in a day, cleaned things, took away all rubbish and were very cheap I thought. They did an excellent job and were very sympathetic towards the difficulty of clearing out my auntie's possessions. First class service and fully recommended.
