  As expected for the Hilton name this hotel certainly is everything you would and could expect from the Hilton empire!With the most spectacular views from most rooms - a picture perfect kodak moment - you can see the tyne river and bridges EXTREMELY close up and appreciate the beauty of Newcastle/gateshead tyne river while relaxing on your bed! Rooms are clean, spotless and nice!Obviously the food menu is as in most Hiltons a little dear, but a fair choice is offered. However the new 'cafe style' decor is a little cold and feels like there's a lack of atmosphere.A great hotel for business trips as the whole place has that business trip feeling. All staff are friendly and smile, but not too crowding-not a hotel for the family!Brilliant bar staff and especially the 'Living well' staff!Bonus to all residents .... you can use the 'Living well' clud (gym, spa and swimming pool) free! The facilities are really good, smallish pool, but all at 1.4 meters, so no deep end!! a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna (wet and dry rooms) a solarium (tanning booth) but there is a charge for this! The gym is well equipt with stair trainners, skywalkers, cross trainners, bikes and numerous weights benches and equipment.

  Everyone knows the reputation behind the Hilton hotel chain. Yes, it’s pricy, yes it’s pretentious but let’s face it, you didn’t expect any less. This particular hotel is located right on the banks of the river Tyne on the Gateshead side. It overlooks the awe inspiring city of Newcastle Upon Tyne and has a great view of the iconic Tyne Bridge. If you’re staying up in the Newcastle or Gateshead area any time soon, have some cash to splash and want a great hotel to stay in the the Hilton is for you. Sadly for us men, Paris is not included. What a shame.
