think ASBESTOS - There is a legal requirement that every non domestic property (built prior to 2000) in the UK be assessed for the presence of asbestos, and that annual awareness training is given to responsible persons and operatives associated with building and demolition and any of the allied trades.

think FIRE SAFETY - Since 2006 there has been a legal requirement that a Fire Risk Assessment be made of every non domestic property in the UK and that key personell are identified and trained accordingly at regular intervals.

All work is carried out by fully qualified staff to P401, P402, P403, P404, P405, S301. Fire Risk Assessments are conducted by competent staff having attended several courses recognised by the Institute of Fire Engineers and presented by leaders and publishers of many Fire Industry standards. The company director has been instrumental in gaining UKAS accreditation to ISO 17020 and ISO17025 for other industry leaders and as such the high quality of all our site work and reports is assured.

Since the 1st October 2006 the law has required every company to carry out a suitable and sufficient Fire Risk Assessment and if you have more than 5 employees the Assessment must be recorded.



You must carry out a Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) on your premsies, and document the risk assessment if you have 5 or more staff


Train all employed personnel in fire safety


Ensure you have an emergency plan in place



Maintain your emergency escape routes at all times



Practice your evacuation procedure at least every 12 months



Regularly test your fire alarms and emergency lighting



Inspect and test your fire extinguishers annually



Check your fire extinguishers every month



Have all your portable appliances tested (PAT testing)


Maintain a fire log book and complete all records
